The Stirling Primary Schools’ Team Games is an inclusive, school‑based competition designed to help pupils get active, develop teamwork skills and enjoy friendly competition — all within their own school environment.
Delivered by Active Stirling’s Active Schools Team, the Team Games provide a flexible and accessible way for schools across Stirling to take part in physical activity throughout the school year.
What are the Team Games?
The Team Games are a series of eight fun, team‑based physical challenges that test a range of fundamental movement skills, including:
- Balance
- Agility
- Throwing and catching
- Coordination
- Speed and endurance
The activities are designed to be easy to set up, low cost (minimal equipment required) and flexible to fit within the school day.
Schools can run the games during PE lessons, extra‑curricular activities, break and lunchtime sessions, or inter‑house competitions.
Why take part?
The Team Games aim to:
- Encourage physical activity for all pupils
- Develop teamwork, communication and confidence
- Provide an inclusive competition format
- Remove barriers such as travel and cost
