Active Stirling is a sports and leisure charitable trust, based in Stirling and formed in 2006. Stirling Council was appointed as sole member of Active Stirling in 2018. We deliver sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing on behalf of Stirling Council and we're a key partner in delivering Stirling’s Sport, Physical Activity and Healthy Living Strategy for Stirling.
We're a leading operator of sport and physical activity and we manage The PEAK — a £27.3M indoor sports complex at Stirling Sports Village on behalf of Stirling Council, along with a range of other facilities and venues across the Stirling council area.
As a charitable trust, we invest any surplus money back into services and Stirling communities. We firmly believe in the power of sport and physical activity to do social good.
At Active Stirling, we're driven by our charitable purposes of –
- the advancement of public participation in sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing
- the advancement of citizenship or community involvement
- the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the person for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended
