We have a total of 10 curling lanes across both our ice rinks at The PEAK and the National Curling Academy (NCA) at Stirling Sports Village.
The National Curling Academy (NCA), opened in August 2017, adds to the existing wide range of first-class facilities at Stirling Sports Village. The NCA is home to British Curling with Scotland, GB Olympic and Paralympic teams all basing their performance training at the facility.
We pride ourselves in actively striving to provide the highest standard of ice for both our performance athletes and our club curling users.
In addition to the 4 sheets within the NCA, we also have 6 sheets of ice available for curling from Monday – Thursday at The PEAK.
We are delighted that many curling clubs choose to curl at The PEAK with the ice being used for practice sessions, club games and bonspiels.
We also provide coached sessions for groups looking to try curling - please note that these sessions are dependant on ice and coach availability. For group coaching enquiries, please contact us at bookings@activestirling.org.uk.

Our curling season typically runs from September-March and can be booked via our curling ice allocation process.
Ice is allocated on a priority basis in line with our usage policy. Our ice allocation process begins in March each year so if you’re a club and looking to book regular ice throughout the season, please get in touch at bookings@activestirling.org.uk .

HOW TO BOOK AND PAY
General bookings can be made throughout the curling season via our online booking system or app (up to 14 days in advance), or for any dates beyond, please complete our booking form here.

• Warm, loose-fitting clothing
• Tracksuit bottoms/joggers/leggings
• Warm jumpers (hoodie)
• Gloves (If you think you’ll be cold)
• On the feet – clean, flat, rubber soled shoes (trainers are ideal) to change into for curling
All equipment is supplied at The PEAK including:
• Brushes
• Delivery aids
• Sliders
• Ice can be very slippery – always wear two flat rubber soled shoes on ice
• Make sure your footwear is totally clean – tiny pieces of dirt can spoil the ice surface
• If a stone goes astray shout ICE to allow others to look out
• Use your brush to stop and move the stones – not your feet
• DO NOT try and lift the 22KG stones
• Always keep your feet on the ice
• Walk or slide NEVER hop or run
• If you have an injury on the ice please report to our Ice Technician on site, Coach or at The PEAK reception
