Entry Requirements
Learners must hold one of the following qualifications, or an equivalent:
- Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing
- Level 2 Certificate in Group Training
- Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training
- Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork
- Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga

What will you learn?
During this course, you’ll develop your knowledge and understanding of:
- Physical activity, health and nutritional considerations for pre and postnatal clients
- Programming safe and effective exercise sessions for pre and postnatal clients
You’ll learn how to take account of the changes that occur during pregnancy and the postnatal period when planning appropriate exercise, while developing your understanding of key health, safety and nutritional considerations.

This is a blended learning course, combining online learning with independent study and assessment.
You’ll complete a combination of eLearning, coursework and practical programme-planning activities, allowing you to develop your knowledge and apply it to pre and postnatal exercise.
