We were delighted to welcome more than 150 primary school children to Forthbank for our annual Primary School Tennis Festival, bringing a buzz of energy and excitement to the courts.
Pupils from Allans Primary, St Ninian’s Primary, Doune Primary and Riverside Primary School took part in a fun‑filled P4 tennis festival, developing skills, confidence and a love of being active through a range of engaging activities.
The festival was delivered by our Active Schools team, with fantastic support from Shaun Tulloch, Head Coach at Killearn Tennis Club. As part of the event, Shaun also provided CPD training for Balfron High School S3 pupils, helping them build coaching and leadership skills.
The S3 students played a key role in leading stations throughout the day alongside our Modern Apprentice, creating a positive and supportive environment for the younger children and gaining valuable hands‑on experience themselves.
Festival highlights
From first rallies to confident swings, see how young players, student leaders and coaches brought the courts to life.
A huge thank you to all the schools for taking part, and to Shaun Tulloch for the incredible support he continues to give both the Balfron community and schools across Stirling. His contribution really does make a difference.
Events like this highlight the power of partnership in inspiring young people to be active, while also creating pathways for older pupils to grow as leaders within sport.
