Active Stirling’s mission is to improve people’s lives in Stirling by getting the inactive active and the active more active more often.

Probably best known as operators of The PEAK, at Stirling Sports Village, Active Stirling also supports and deliver a diverse range of services and programmes throughout the Stirling Council area and on behalf of Stirling Council through leading the Sport, Physical Activity & Healthy Living Strategy for Stirling.

In each Council ward we deliver the Active Schools and Community Activation programmes. We also deliver inclusive Specialist Services as part of our Changing Lives through Sport and Physical Activity.

Specialist inclusive services are designed to tackle inequality and disadvantage locally by breaking down barriers to participation using sport and physical activity as a progressive lever for change.

We provide services specifically tailored for the key user groups.

  • School aged children and young adults
  • Care experienced young people
  • Older adults and senior citizens
  • Exercise referrals for those living with or recovering from illness or injury
  • Sport clubs and community sport hubs
  • Disability Sports
  • Employability and Volunteering
  • Cancer support
  • Veterans Sports
  • Women and Girls activity
  • Forth Valley Recovery Community activities

To celebrate the impact these services have on our communities, we have been working with our teams, to produce films profiling our highly valued team members, and the services they support and deliver across Stirlingshire.

The first series of films focus on our Active Schools team and our Community Activation Officers and the work they do collaboratively in each ward.
