Active Stirling is delighted to announce that a brand-new block of free multi sport sessions will launch in Kippen.
Running as an initial four‑week pilot, these sessions offer local residents the chance to enjoy fun, low‑impact and easy‑to‑access sport in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Details
When: Every Monday from 23 February – 16 March
Time: 10.30am-12.00pm
Venue: Kippen Village Hall
Developed in partnership between Active Stirling’s SportAbility and Community Activation teams, the programme has been designed to welcome anyone in the community who would benefit from gentle activity, social connection and the opportunity to try something new. The sessions aim to remove barriers—real or perceived—to taking part in sport, creating a supportive space suitable for all abilities.
Participants will be able to enjoy a wide range of sports and activities, including:
- Boccia – recognised as the world’s most inclusive sport
- Soft Archery
- Indoor Curling – perfectly timed for Winter Olympics excitement
- Soft Tennis
- Tabletop activities and board games
- Tea, coffee and plenty of biscuits
Beyond sport, the sessions place a strong emphasis on community. Attendees can expect a warm welcome and plenty of time to chat, relax and meet new people.
We want to bring the joy of sports to those living in Kippen and neighbouring communities who feel they want to try something new or perhaps feel they experience barriers to sport. These sessions are for all abilities, and we can’t wait to get started in the wonderfully renovated village hall which is a perfect venue for it.
