Dunblane Festival of Sport - Celebration of Community and Physical Activity
Active Stirling was pleased to support the first-ever Dunblane Community Sport Hub Festival of Sport, held on Sunday 31 August at The Dunblane Centre and Dunblane Sports Centre. The free event welcomed 143 participants and showcased a wide range of sports and physical activities available across the Dunblane area.
The festival was designed to highlight the strength of local sport and the opportunities available for people of all ages and abilities to get involved. From walking netball and curling to cricket and dodgeball, the day offered something for everyone—encouraging families and individuals to stay active and connected through sport.
Active Stirling delivered Sportability sessions, including Boccia, Soft Archery and Soft Bowls, supporting inclusive participation and promoting physical activity for all. The event also featured sessions from:
- Doune & Dunblane Cricket Club
- Dunblane Bike Club
- Dunblane Curling Club
- Dunblane Runners
- Dunblane Sports Club
- Dunblane Walking Netball
- McLaren Rugby Club
- The Dunblane Centre

I’ve been working with Dunblane Community Sport Hub for over a year now, and it was fantastic to see this event come together. It’s a great way to celebrate the sporting opportunities Dunblane has to offer, and I’m looking forward to helping it grow year on year.
