Celebrating Recovery Through Sport: Forth Valley Recovery Olympics 2025 a Resounding Success!
On Friday 25 July 2025, Active Stirling and Forth Valley Recovery Community (FVRC) proudly partnered to host the Forth Valley Recovery Olympics at Forthbank Stadium—a vibrant celebration of recovery, community, and sport.
This unique sports day-style event brought together approximately 180 participants from recovery communities across Scotland, along with their support services, for a day of fun, connection, and friendly competition.

Participants took part in a wide range of activities, including:

- Egg & Spoon
- Sack Race
- 3-Legged Race
- Wheelbarrow Race
- Dress-Up Relay
- Soft Archery
- Turbo Javelin
- Hungry Hippos
- Tug of War
The atmosphere was electric filled with laughter, encouragement, and a shared sense of achievement. The Recovery Olympics is more than just a day of games—it’s a powerful reminder of the strength and joy found in recovery and community.
