On Wednesday 23 November 2022, Active Stirling hosted secondary school pupils from across Stirling for a Secondary Schools Dance Competition at The PEAK in Stirling.

120 dancers from seven secondary schools competed for gold in the Active Schools Dance Competition, with Balfron, Bannockburn, Dunblane, McLaren, St Modan's, Stirling, and Wallace High Schools in attendance.

42 entries competed in either solo or group dances, overseen by judges Angela Hunter (Active Stirling’s Active Schools Manager), Charlene Mitchell (PT Health and Wellbeing and Parental Engagement), and Laura Stewart (Dancer), who were marking on choreography, creative content, technique and much more. The winners were presented with trophies and certificates in recognition of their routines.

We were immensely impressed by all the dancers that have taken part in our Active Schools Secondary Dance Competition. Your hard work, commitment and talent shone through. Well done to everyone and we hope you have enjoyed the competition as well as learning from Industry Professionals at the workshop. Thank you for taking part!
