Primary Schools Netball Festival Brings Energy and Team Spirit to The PEAK!
Over 50 primary school pupils from across Stirling gathered at The PEAK last week for a fun-filled day of netball skills, matches, and celebration at this year’s Primary Schools Netball Festival.
The event, delivered by Active Stirling’s Active Schools team, brought together young players from Queen Victoria, Newton, Fallin, St Ninian’s and Gargunnock for a fantastic festival that focused on teamwork, participation, and building confidence through sport. The courts were buzzing with energy as each team showed off their skills, supporting one another and playing with passion and respect.

Lord Provost Elaine Watterson joined in on the fun, cheering on the young athletes and sharing in the day’s excitement.
Every pupil who took part in this sporting event was a credit to their school. The competition between the young people was strongly but fairly contested and with good nature. The Netball Festival was an uplifting day of sporting action and my thanks go to everyone involved in organising the event.
A big highlight of the day was the fantastic officiating from Balfron High School's young umpires. Their calm, fair, and confident approach helped the whole event run smoothly — a big thank you to them for playing such a key role!
While the festival was all about taking part and having fun, we’d also like to congratulate our top three teams:
1st Place - Queen Victoria
2nd Place - Newton Primary
3rd Place - Fallin Primary

It was a brilliant day for netball! The atmosphere was full of positivity and encouragement, and the pupils showed great sportsmanship throughout. Huge thanks to our wonderful young umpires from Balfron High and to everyone who supported the event.
Highlights of the day!
