Inclusive Summer Cycling Sessions Roll Into Stirling for Adults and Children.

Bikes Without Barriers, Active Stirling’s inclusive cycling programme, returns this summer—and it’s bigger than ever!

We’re delighted to announce that, for the first time, junior sessions for children aged 8 years and over will be added to the programme—giving even more people the chance to experience the freedom, fun, and wellbeing benefits of cycling.

Held at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling Sports Village, Bikes Without Barriers offers access to a range of adapted bikes and provides a supportive environment for anyone living with a disability or facing barriers to participating in physical activity.

Delivered by Active Stirling, in partnership with Forth Valley Disability Sport and supported by Stirling Council, the programme aims to build confidence, improve mental and physical wellbeing, and help participants enjoy the simple pleasure of being active outdoors.

More than just a cycling session, Bikes Without Barriers is a welcoming and safe space—one that offers connection, opportunity, and a chance to experience Stirling’s beautiful surroundings in a whole new way.

We’re so excited to extend our Bikes Without Barriers programme this summer to include sessions for children. These sessions offer a fantastic opportunity for young people with additional support needs to experience the joy of cycling in a safe and supportive setting. It’s about having fun, gaining independence, and building confidence—and we can’t wait to welcome even more families to take part.
