Active Stirling is proud to announce a new weekly Dementia Friendly Health Walk, launching in partnership with trained Dementia Friendly Walk Leaders and Home Instead.

The walk begins on Thursday 22 May and will take place every Thursday from 11.00am–12.00pm at King’s Park, Stirling.

This gentle, welcoming walk is designed for adults living with dementia, along with their families and carers, and is open to anyone who would benefit from some light activity, fresh air and social connection. The walk will start at the tennis courts in King’s Park and follow flat, scenic routes offering beautiful views of Stirling Castle and Stirling Golf Club. Toilet facilities are available, and after the walk, participants are invited to the King’s Park Pavilion Café to enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa.

Walking can greatly benefit people living with dementia – supporting physical health, cognitive function, and overall wellbeing. This walk is also ideal for beginners or anyone managing a health condition. Everyone is welcome to come along, even if you don’t have a dementia diagnosis.
