Welcome to Our New Modern Apprentices – Multi-Sport Coaches

Active Stirling is excited to welcome four new Modern Apprentices to our team, stepping into the role of Multi-Sport Coaches. These young leaders will be supporting the delivery of sport and physical activity across Stirling, helping us create inclusive, engaging opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

As part of our commitment to employability and youth development, the Modern Apprenticeship programme offers hands-on experience, training, and mentoring for those looking to build a career in sport. We’re thrilled to welcome Karis Allison, Rory Cattigan, Scott Dow-Palmer, and Madison Dunn to the team.

Our new apprentices will be working across a range of programmes—from Active Schools to community sport— developing their coaching skills while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children, young people, and families across Stirling.

We’re thrilled to welcome four new apprentices to Active Stirling. Karis, Madison, Rory, and Scott have already shown incredible enthusiasm in their first two weeks, with a real eagerness to learn and make a difference. They’ll be working closely with our Active Schools Coordinators and the wider Sports, Physical Activity, and Inclusion team to create exciting opportunities for young people to get involved in sport and physical activity. Along the way, they’ll also be building their own skills and working towards an SVQ Level 3 in Youth Work.

Grace Morrison, Employability and Volunteering Officer.

This initiative reflects our ongoing mission to empower people through sport and physical activity, while supporting the next generation of coaches and leaders in Stirling.

We’re thrilled to have them on board and look forward to seeing the energy and ideas they bring to our programmes!
