The Stirling Schools Golf League concluded on Wednesday 29 March, with the third and final fixture contested at Callander Golf Club.

Organised and hosted by Active Stirling, the league welcomed 18 pupils from Stirling, Dunblane, McLaren, Balfron and St Modan’s High Schools, to go head-to-head at three local courses at Dunblane, Balfron and Callander Golf Clubs.

Over four months the young golfers competed in a fourball match play format with the winners of each match receiving two points for their school, or one point if the match finished all square.

Going into the final matchday it was all to play for as only two points separated four schools. The competition went all the way to the final match with McLaren High School winning both their matches to win the league by one point.

This year’s Stirling Schools Golf League has been a remarkable success with brilliant golf played across the matches. It has been fantastic to see so many young talented golfers across the Stirling area competing and representing their schools. We would like to thank Dunblane, Balfron, and Callander Golf Clubs for hosting each matchday and giving the boys the opportunity to represent their schools.
