In partnership with Forth Valley Recovery Community, we recently hosted the Forth Valley Recovery Olympics at Forthbank, Stirling Sports Village.

For the third consecutive year, this special event brought together approx. 300 participants from across Scotland who regularly attend recovery cafés and their support services, providing them with a fun and engaging sports day.

The event's primary aim is to offer those in recovery an opportunity to participate in various sports day events, celebrating their recovery journey through enjoyable and supportive activities. This day not only promotes physical well-being but also fosters social interaction and new friendships during challenging times.

Participants engaged in friendly competition, enjoying events such as the egg and spoon race, wheelbarrow race, fancy dress relays, three-legged races, sprint races, and soft archery. Fan favourites, the tug of war and hungry hippos, were also highlights of the day.

This year’s event was a massive success, with 20 teams entered, over 160 participants and more than 100 spectators.
