New measures to help maintain cleanliness, hygiene and the condition of our facilities

Following feedback from customers about cleanliness and hygiene in the Swim Village changing area and Health Suite, we are introducing some operational changes from Monday 7 September 2026.

These measures will initially be introduced as a two-month pilot and will help us assess what works best for our customers and our facilities.

Swim Village changing area

From Monday 7 September, we will be relocating the blue overshoe dispensers to the Buggy Park area of the swim village and request that all users of the swim village either:

  • wear blue overshoes or
  • remove outdoor shoes when entering the changing village from this point.

This will help reduce the amount of dirt and debris brought into the changing area on outdoor footwear, supporting a cleaner and more hygienic environment for everyone.

We also remind customers that shampoo and shower gels should not be used in the poolside showers, and these are for pre-swim hygiene use only.

Health Suite – Sauna

From Monday 7 September, all sauna users will be required to sit on a towel while using the sauna.

Using a towel will help reduce the amount of moisture absorbed into the sauna's wooden benches, helping to protect them from damage and reduce the need for closures for maintenance.

We are planning to refurbish the Health Suite following the pilot, and this measure will help us establish good practice for the future and protect the newly refurbished facilities.

We also remind all Health Suite users that you must book a Health Suite session and use your membership fob to access the area.

We will review customer feedback and the impact of these measures following the two-month pilot before confirming how we will proceed.
