On Friday 6 June 2025, we hosted our annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony at Raploch Community Campus – an uplifting evening filled with inspiring stories, proud moments, and well-deserved recognition.

We’d like to begin by saying a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers. Your passion, commitment, and dedication never go unnoticed – we are so proud of everything you do!

This year’s celebration once again honoured the outstanding contributions of volunteers from across the Stirling area – individuals who dedicate their time and energy to support Active Stirling’s programmes and services, and those who play a vital role in the network of local clubs affiliated with ClubSport Stirling.

The awards highlight the incredible work volunteers do to make Stirling a healthier, more active place to live. From coaching and mentoring to supporting walking groups and inclusive sport initiatives, each volunteer plays a vital role in helping others get active and stay connected.

The ceremony brought together over 150 guests, including nominees, VIPs, Active Stirling Board Members, partners, and stakeholders, all gathered to celebrate the incredible contributions of our volunteer community.

Our Interim Head of Sport, Physical Activity and Inclusion, Dougie Porteous, opened the evening with a warm welcome and shared some powerful moments before presenting the awards.

Volunteers are the driving force behind sport and physical activity in Stirling. They play a vital role in delivering, coordinating, and managing countless opportunities across our communities. From sports clubs and after-school programs to community and walking groups, thousands of dedicated individuals help keep Stirling active. We are proud to support them and, through the Volunteer Awards, offer a small token of recognition for the incredible work they do to make Stirling a vibrant place to live and engage in sport and physical activity.
