NICAS classes are great for children to develop climbing movement skills, fitness and improve levels of ability.
During these classes children will learn how to climb and belay safely, learn climbing rope-work and how to use the equipment safely. NICAS classes are a great first step into the sport of climbing. All classes are led by our experienced Climbing wall Instructors.
NICAS Wild Climbing
NICAS Wild Climbing offers climbing skills for young children. This programme is fun, and game orientated that will introduce young climbers safely into the indoor climbing environment and develop their awareness of climbing movements.
You can purchase (optional) the NICAS Wild Climbing progress book at PEAK reception for £15. Each time your child passes a particular skill, such as agility, focus, balance, communication, co-ordination, and teamwork, they will receive stickers from their Climbing wall Instructor.

NICAS Junior
During the NICAS Junior course, children will learn how to climb and belay safely. The junior class is designed for younger and smaller kids to better suit their learning. This course will cover NICAS level 1 and 2, and is a great first step into the sport of climbing. Suitable for those will little experience.

- Comfortable leisure wear
- Tracksuit bottoms, joggers or shorts
- No dresses/skirts as these will impede harness fitting
