As you may be aware, there was a further Scottish Government update earlier this week which confirmed that most COVID-19 restrictions end this Monday 9 August.

This is an update to let you know that we'll continue to restart activities as before, and over the coming months, in a phased and carefully planned manner to make sure as always, that we comply with both government and industry guidelines. Safety for all customers and employees continues to be our main priority. Like many other businesses, the pandemic has also had a huge and detrimental financial impact on our charity and we need to balance the urgent need to recover financially and make sure our operations and services are completely viable.

We’d like to reassure you that although restrictions are lifting we’ll still have many Covid-19 measures in place, so we continue to provide a well trusted, safe environment to take part in sport and physical activity. Please note these safety measures -

  • All activities must be prebooked online before you visit. If you’re a member you can book online as part of your membership. Activities are also available on a pre booked pay as you go basis – all you need to do is create an online Active Stirling account
  • Pre book using the Active Stirling app or through a registered online account at
  • We’ve enhanced ventilation and are fully committed to stringent cleaning and sanitisation procedures before and after all activity sessions
  • Hand sanitiser will still be available throughout The PEAK
  • In line with Scottish Government regulations, you’ll need to wear a face covering (unless exempt) in indoor communal areas indoors before and after exercising

As further restrictions are removed shortly, this means we can increase capacities in some classes and also restart some programmes and activities.

We will publish more information about the changes to each returning class, programme and activity in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on our latest news and social media channels.

Timescales may be subject to change further to any alterations to COVID guidance and access availability for facilities not run or managed by Active Stirling.

As you may be aware we're currently working through a booking and systems upgrade with our software provider, Gladstone following the release of their new software product.

We're still going through testing with Gladstone to make sure all issues have been addressed before we change over to Gladstone Go and the new booking system goes live. We appreciate the current and outdated booking system has presented many challenges over the last 12 months but please be assured we are doing all we can to accelerate the development of the new and hugely improved booking system with Gladstone, so that the new system can be launched and fit for all of our customers to use.

In the meantime, we’d like to thank you for your ongoing support as we carefully remove further restrictions and reinstate activities.

Many thanks

Active Stirling
