Twins and Friendship

Stirling has been twinned with Villeneuve d'Ascq, France, since 1984, and in 2006 formed a new twinning link with Obuda, Budapest, Hungary.
Since 1964, Stirling has had a friendship link with Dunedin, Florida. In 2006, the Council agreed to form a similar link with Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada - who are also affiliated with Dunedin.

Cultural, business and educational links have also been established with Nova Scotia, Canada and Galway Ireland.
