Were looking for NEW Walking Volunteers to join our exciting Buggy and Bump walks programme!
Would you be interested in volunteering?
Our Buggy and bump walks programme is to help parents and mums to be get out and about, improve their health and fitness and meet other parents to share their experiences and also explore the beautiful scenery around Stirling. Walks are on every week, even during the school holidays.
Walks take place at various venues across Stirling - Raploch, Bannockburn, Plean, Dunblane, Bridge of Allan and Callander.  Walks last about 45 minutes to an hour and finish at a venue for a coffee afterwards.

  • Have a passion to help people and be supportive
  • Be friendly and welcoming
  • Have good communication skills

  • Volunteering can help you make friends
  • Learn new skills and give you the opportunity to practice important skills
  • Advance your career,
  • Stay active and improve your health and wellbeing
* Training is given and volunteers are paired up so that they are not on a walk alone.  You can volunteer once a month or once a week - volunteering works around your schedule.*
Active Stirling’s Volunteer, Susan Kennedy was a mid-wife at NHS Forth Valley, and has found that after retiring, being a volunteering for Active Stirling’s Buggy and bump walks programme has brought a new energy to retirement.
“I love volunteering as part of the Active Stirling buggy walk programme.  It gives structure to my week, meet new people and get out and about in the fresh air each week.  And what’s not to like, getting fit surrounded by lovely mums and babies”.
