Primary school kids from across Stirling came together to perform in Active Stirling’s Annual Think Dancing Shows on Monday 29 April & Wednesday 1 May at The Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling.

The annual shows are the result of a year’s work by the volunteers, teachers and pupils in Active Stirling’s Think Dancing programme. Each school had worked very hard to produce an amazing dance piece with their class, focused on a theme of their choice. They had researched and choreographed their dance and practiced for weeks before the live performance in front of a packed audience of family and friends.

Kim Bruce, Active Stirling Dance Development Officer said “We are extremely proud of what each school has produced to make such a fantastic show. The dancers and volunteers have worked extremely hard and it is a pleasure for us to deliver support sessions and to see the positive impact it has on the children taking part. This year we have seen around 400 kids taking part in our Think Dancing programme with 25 volunteers supporting them. It is lovely to see the passion and the commitment the volunteers have for their dance and for them to see the finished product on stage is amazing! We would like to thank everyone for their time, hard work and commitment to Think Dancing.”
