Stirlings Primary Schools Prepare for Annual Think Dance Shows
Local Primary School children are preparing to take to the dance floor at the Macrobert Arts Centre on Monday 29 April & Wednesday 1 May for Active Stirling’s annual Think Dance shows.
The shows give the children and the schools a chance to celebrate all of the hard work put in throughout the year by the pupils and staff. The two shows will bring together 18 Primary Schools, which will perform their dance pieces as family and friends watch the spectacular show, organised by Active Stirling.
Schools performing at the April performance will be Buchlyvie, Callander, Dunblane, Fintry, Gargunnock, Killin, Newton, St Mary’s Dunblane and Strathyre Primary Schools.
Schools performing at the May performance will be Allan’s, Balfron, Bannockburn, Cambusbarron, Cornton, Cowie, Doune, Drymen and Killearn Primary Schools.
Zoe Thomson, Active Stirling Dance Development Officer said: “The annual Think Dance performances are the culmination of a year’s work for the children and teachers. The children are always so excited and have a lot of fun during their performance. Each school has been practising their dance pieces for weeks and parents and guardians are in for a great evening.”
Active Stirling’s Think Dance programme was established in 2008. With dance sessions being delivered by volunteers who are supported by Active Stirling’s Dance team.
