Stirling Primary Schools Track & Field Championships 2019
The Stirling Primary Schools Track & Field Championships will take place on Friday 7 June at the University of Stirling athletics track hosted by Active Stirling.
Over 300 pupils form 29 schools will be in attendance with schools entering teams of six girls and six boys from P6/P7 to compete in the following athletics events: 80m, 150m, 600m, Long Jump, Turbo Javelin, Shot Putt & 4x100m Relay. There will be individual medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each event and then a trophy for the winning school.
The schools competing at the Championships are Aberfoyle, Allan's, Balfron, Borestone, Bridge of Allan, Buchlyvie, Cambusbarron, Cornton, Deanston, Doune, Drymen, Dunblane, East Plean, Fintry, Gargunnock, Gartmore, Killearn, Kippen, Newton, Our Lady's, Port of Menteith, Raploch, Riverside, St Margaret's RCPS, St Mary's Bannockburn, St Mary's EPS, St Ninian's, Strathblane and Strathyre Primary Schools.
Janelle McGurk, event organiser and Active Stirling Athletics Development Officer said “The Primary Track & Field Championship is an extremely busy but rewarding event, with over 300 pupils from primary schools across Stirling competing both individually and as a team in a full day of athletics.”
