Vision, Values, Strategic Aims and Management Principles
Our Vision
Each and every area of Active Stirling is driven by the same belief – that everyone living in the Stirling Council area is entitled to participate in the sport and physical activity of their choice, irrespective of their age, ability or circumstance.
In order to turn this belief into a reality, Active Stirling sets out four clear goals:
- Ensure the opporunity to particpate exist - fun, safe, quality opportunities that are relevant to local needs
- Put in place the programmes and facilities necessary to bring about these opportunities
- Maximise the number of people participating locally, and the frequency with which they participate
- Develop productive partnerships between relevant agencies
Our Values
- Make access to the Council as easy as possible, to listen and respond;
- Organise services to meet the needs of citizens and communities, promoting fair shares for all;
- Encourage and enable communities to fully participate in the decision-making process;
- Deliver quality services that are efficient and effective;
