Sign up Now for the NSPCC’s Aerobathon
Working out the best way to help children
Why not get fit this New Year and take part in the NSPCC’s biggest ever Aerobathon on Monday 8 February 2010 at a leisure centre near you.
The sponsored two-hour aerobic workout will be led by qualified instructors at exactly the same time in each location, from 6-8pm.
Over 130 leisure centres are taking part across the UK, including nearly 30 across Scotland, to support the NSPCC’s Childs Voice Appeal.
Please log on to www.nspcc.org.uk/aerobathon for further details about your nearest participating leisure centre and to register, or pick up a leaflet in participating leisure centres. It will be a great event so why not sign up with friends, family and colleagues and encourage anyone you know in the area to sign up.
Registration costs only £5 which includes entry to the event and a fab NSPCC Aerobathon t-shirt! (Payment Will Not Be Accepted At The Peak)
The aerobathon event aims to raise over £425,000 nationally for the Child’s Voice Appeal. With public support, the appeal will help to expand the NSPCC’s vital helpline services – ChildLine the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline for children and the NSPCC Helpline for adults concerned about a child. - ChildLine on 0800 1111 is the UK’s free, 24-hour helpline for children in danger or distress. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advice and protect children and young people. ChildLine is a service provided and funded by the NSPCC. In Scotland it is delivered by CHILDREN 1ST on behalf of the NSPCC. Calls to ChildLine on 0800 1111 are confidential, but if a child is in a life threatening situation the counsellor will let the caller know if they have to break confidentially and contact the emergency services to save the child’s life.
