Andrew Bain
Role:
Chief Executive
Responsibilities:
The principal advisor to the Board and is responsible to the Board for the smooth running and co-ordination of the Company with overall responsibility for leading the business operation, performance and implementation of the strategy; Chair of Sporta Scotland Regional Network.
Background:
A leisure management graduate with over 20 years' experience across private, public and leisure trust sectors. Previously worked for Scottish Highland Hotels, Scottish Borders Council, Edinburgh Leisure and Glasgow City Council. Have previously been a member of the ILAM Scotland Executive and an active coach in the local community.
Interests:
Most sports but especially golf and tennis, walking and generally keeping active.
Lynn Murray
Role:
Director of Corporate Services
Responsibilities
: To lead and manage the provision of support services to Active Stirling, responsible for Finance, HR, IT, Admin and Legal.
Background:
Chartered Accountant, 19 years Local Authority experience including finance, management of teams, projects and performance, internal audit, systems development and service planning.

Ian Ferguson
Role:
Head of Business Development
Responsibilities:
Oversees all aspects of the operational management of facilities including The Peak and Forthbank Stadium; the delivery and management of Active Stirling’s Health & Wellbeing strategy; performance sport.
Background:
Business, Finance and Sports Coaching HND; a Post Grad Diploma in Marketing Management. Ian
has been predominantly employed in the private sector having worked in golf and leisure management for Whitbread Plc, Radisson Hotels, Hilton Hotels and as GM for Esporta, Livingwell and Virgin Active health clubs.
Interests: Ian played competitive hockey, playing in the national league in Northern Ireland, as well as Ireland, England, and Scotland over the years. He was selected for the British Polytechnics team going on to win the British student championships. Ian represented Ulster at junior level and. He retired from playing competitive hockey two years ago.
Gordon Crawford

Head of Sport
Responsibilities: Oversees
School and Community Sport; Club and Sport; Coaching and Volunteering; Outdoor and Adventure programmes; ClubSport Stirling; partnership working with Scottish governing bodies, sportscotland, Stirling Council and CGS.
Background:
BA (Hons) Recreation; Med (PE and Sport); Worked in Banking and Finance; Lecturer in Leisure Management and Sports Coaching in FE; Fitness and Conditioning coach to Scottish Rugby Teams; Edinburgh and Glasgow Rugby; Scottish Athletics, National Coach for Endurance

Performance Sport Coaching: Triathlon and endurance running;
Eleanor Cunningham
Role:
Head of Business Support
Responsibilities: To manage, develop and implement a consistent support service across Active Stirling, including Administration, I.T. and H.R.
Background: Almost 30 years Local Authority experience (Leisure & Recreation, Stirling Sports Council and Sports Development) before moving to Active Stirling in March 2006. Background in delivering support services, managing teams, business improvement.
